TRREB Market Watch Sep 2021

As per TRREB Market Watch Report, in September 2021, number of home sales picked up considerably compared to August 2021.  This is quite expected, since historically Labor Day marks the transition between the slower Summer market and the busier Fall market.  When we look at the year over-year change in number of sales, even though September 2021 set a record as the “third-best sales on record for the month of September”, the numbers were down from September 2020.  Demand stayed strong, however there is a significant decrease in the new listings, which resulted in double digit increases in prices.  Sales to new listings ratio in many segments of the market confirm a strong seller’s market.   There is also a perceptible pick-up in the condo market.
